Touring the JSS Ayurveda hospital and medical college in hopes of learning more on ayurvedic medicine
Our tour begins in the garden where our tour guide explains to us the different plants around the hospital. Some of these plants are included in herbal medicines made within the hospital.
One of the doctors demonstrates creating an herbal remedy by cooking the leaves of a plant.

Our tour guide explains how the herbal remedy is used. She places the leaves in a cheesecloth and demonstrates how it is rubbed against the skin.
As the tour continues, we watch as a woman grids together ingredients to make a consumable medicine.
Our tour guide shows us a metal bowl used for Shirodhara, which involves pouring liquids over a person's forehead. This is suppose to have a positive impact on the nervous system and calms mental stress
This is a table that is commonly used when receiving herbal treatments.
This is a steam chamber that uses herbs and essential oils.
We finish out our tour at the pharmacy where our tour guide explains to us the many medications and creams they prescribe.
