We take our first medical tour at JSS State Hospital located in Mysore. This is a public hospital run by the government.
The tour starts in the hospital's lobby. Here we meet Dr. Mahesh Rao, a doctor at JSS.
The tour moves to the pediatric ward where Dr.Mahesh explains how all treatments within the hospital are free of cost.
We finish our visit with a lecture from Dr. Mahesh Rao and Dr. Lokesh.
Our next tour is at the Apollo Private Hospital in Mysore. This is a private hospital not run by the government.
We begin at the blood bank, where we are shown how blood is drawn, stored, and tested at the hospital.
We are taken to the lab to see the various machines and types of data that the hospital collects.
Here are different tumors and skin samples the hospital has tested.
We are shown CT and ultrasound equipment.
Finally, we end our tour at the ambulances, talking to the doctors about the availabilities of resources in urban and rural areas.
