INDIA DAY 5 5/8/18

Boy am I exhausted. Today was an action pack day, we were up bright and early for yoga at 6:30. After yoga we got ready for class at PHRI, which started at 9:30. We had yet again an amazing lecture by Dr. Shanti on how different social groups handle heath care. We spoke about the caste system and how even though there are laws against discrimination, social classes have been subconsciously ingrained in society, effecting access to medical resources in certain communities. The busy day continued with a tour around Mysore, we went to a museum, church, and temple. The temple was by far my favorite, watching the different parts and traditions of the Hindu religion was so interesting. There were so many color and designs it was very eye catching, there were also some very mischievous monkeys wandering around. We ended up getting back to the hotel around 7, that is a nonstop day, but even though I am tired, I can’t wait to see what else is in store.

Best,
